Kolka evangelical lutheran church
The owner of Dundaga manor Carl Ludwig Ferdinand von der Osten-Sacken laid the foundation stone of the present church. In the sphere of the church tower he left a message to the future generations. The building works begun in 1885 headed by the construction foreman Oto Zīverts; the author of the project was architect Theodors Zeilers.
The church is a rectangular elongated single-aisle building with a polygonal sacristy and a highly attached square tower with polygonal spire.
The last service was held in 1969, later the church lived through hard times. With the Awakening of Latvia the church was renovated; though it was damaged, it still survived due to its strong stone walls.
The document that was found in 1992 during the restoration explained that the church had changed its location for three times till 1833. The furnishings of the restored church are coloured in warm brownish and white hues. An effective accent in the sober interior of the church is the altar painting - a modern and originally solved triptych, a present of artist Helēna Heinrihsone (1993).
